I think The Shins are going to have a strong return this year with their new album Port of Morrow. This record has been a long time coming and fans having been waiting for about 5 years for new music. However, they have already started off 2012 quite well, releasing their first new single "Simple Song," two new videos, announced upcoming tours and festivals, interviews, and more. The Shins are on the right path to be on top of the indie/pop world again.
So, "The Rifle's Spiral" was performed live back in 2009 by The Shins, but was never included on an album, until now. Listen to the radio rip below courtesy of Listen Before You Buy.
