As y'all already know Todd and I love Shabazz Palaces and we ranked their debut album number two and one on our respective 2011 lists. I still can't get enough of that album, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that Shabazz collaborators THEESatisfaction are planning to release their own debut album, awE naturalE, this year. If you don't remember, they are the two female singer/rappers that appeared on Black Up adding their beautiful pipes to the already beautiful mix. The first taste of that album, called "QueenS" dropped last week, but I've been so busy I'm just now getting around to posting it. Judging from this song and some of their earlier work, THEESatisfaction have the same type of sound as Shabazz, but with more of a r&b and funk lean to it.
