When you first are introduced to a band, sometimes a great subject will get me to read it and other times a simple description will. With Inspired & the Sleep, they went the simple descriptive route with "lo-fi pop from Sand Diego." I haven't posted anything from this since around October, but this week they return with a new song called "Take Pills (Instructed Bliss)." The song was released for free via the the start-up net label Hanging Hills.
"The song is sort of a sarcastic dedication to how our society, ravers, even myself functions mentally, socially, and physically through the use of pills.
It was put together through a series of live recorded percussion loops, a drum machine setting from my toy Casio keyboard, flute, uke, and bass."
