While there is an abundance of bedroom producers looking to make a name for themselves, many of them actually have the talent to do so, like Bear Mountain. The Vancouver resident used to be in a band, but when they split he decided to experiment with electronic and acoustics. Then, in order to capture the sound even more, mastermind Ian Bevis got his friend and collaborator Kyle Statham to join him and perfect the project’s stage show. Now the pair is working on their debut, XO, out August 7th, which features an array of sounds mixing in synths, drums, vocal samples, and all sorts of experimental tweaks. Take a listen to the lead single "Two Step" to get a feel for what this duo can do, it is an incredible sound.
