As someone who is still expanding their musical taste to some of the electronic scene, I'll admit I'm generally a noob when it comes to Dan Deacon. I do know he has a new album called America coming out soon and the first new song is called "True Thrush." Tons of hand-claps, electronics, background voices, and Deacon's vocals with a sort of echo effect can be heard in this single, but it's instantly catchy. It's easy to tell from this song that Deacon has an ear for numerous sounds, but it never crosses the line of being irritating to where you can't focus. Listen to the track below and check out the album on August 27th when it is released via Domino Records.
