Stones Throw continues to impress me with their roster, in fact I haven't disliked a single song from the record label for some time now. One member of the label, Homeboy Sandman, released a new hip hop tune called "Brown." This track was produced by label mate Jonti and was originally for Radiolab's Colors episode. Homeboy managed to rhyme and create some lyrics that relate to the color brown throughout the whole track, which is quite impressive considering a song about color might seem pretty mundane. This song was a helluva surprise not only for the wordplay, but that Jonti dabbled in some hip hop beats. Listen below.
