Abel Tesfaye or The Weeknd, as most know him by, gained a huge following in 2011 after Drake showed his support of this R&B Toronto native and his debut mixtape House of Balloons. The tape went viral fast and the sensual/experimental R&B sound was explosive. Tesfaye would follow that critically acclaimed tape with Thursday and Echoes of Silence just a few months apart, which were just as successful. Although you should probably just download all three mixtapes for free, for those looking for some of the best songs, wanted to hear our opinion of which songs we think are best, or just feel like bumping some R&B jams on this Monday, then below is the list.
