Balto - "Smokestacks"

Last year a little unknown band from the NYC/Portland areas had caught me off guard with the excellent album October's Road. Who was Balto and why is the Americana/folk sound not adored by everyone in America yet? But I think after we posted, more blogs were catching on to their emails and experiencing what I heard, so when I received a new single called "Smokestacks" I had no hesitation in posting.
