This looks like it might be another week of remixes, but as long as they are good then I have no problem with it. Today, Cat Power's great new pop tune, "Cherokee" (off her upcoming Sun album) got the remix edition from young ambient/electronic producer Nicolas Jaar. He brings this song into a more synthetic sound, but you can appreciate the tweaks to further push Cat Power's style. Listen to both versions below in the widget. Sun is out 9/4 on Matador.
