What is pretty interesting about Poor Moon, is before they were a full band, one of the members already had created numerous songs. So instead of the band developing songs, the songs sort of developed the band. Two members of Fleet Foxes are also a part of this band as well, so you'll certainly hear some of that influence in the music. But before their self-titled debut album is released, they are giving their wonderfully crafted tune "Birds" for free. The song is a blend of folk, indie, and alternative, but it is a jam that, if you are a fan of those genres then you'll need this in your collection. The album by Poor Moon is going to be released Monday 27th August on Bella Union records. Listen and download below.
