So a few weeks back Trails and Ways was figuring out some songs they would like to cover and send out to their fans. But the dilemma was, which song to cover? They were interested in a straight-up R&B tune, but there were a few choices and it was something they hadn't tried yet. One of the members heard a car blasting "Sure Thing" by Miguel and decided that was the track to cover. Trails and Ways redid some of the lyrics with their own twist, but came up with something quite interesting.
"We tried to do justice to Miguel's masterpiece by drawing on the smoky early 90s jazz guitar, synths and smooth beats we grew up loving. If the original "Sure Thing" was a sunny day in LA, we want ours to be a rainy night in São Paulo."
