The Weeknd - "Often" (Kygo Remix)

It's crazy how popular producer Kygo has become in the last year, but his tropical remixes and ear for piecing together music has led to tons of plays on his Soundcloud. Just a few days ago he took on the newer song from The Weeknd, "Often" and put his own spin on it. This song is not new to the remix game as the Toronto crooner's tune has had many updated versions. Yet, Kygo still finds a way to stand above the rest even after a few weeks have passed of others remixing. He also shows he has more up his sleeve than the warm tropical sounds he got noticed for, which really shows his versatility.

You'll get those sexual vibes from the vocals and a nice hip hop instrumental built around it. Stream and download for free right here.

Lil Silva - "Don't You Love" (Feat. BANKS)

When I see the name BANKS attached to anything, I generally can assume it's going to be pretty good, which is exactly what happened on UK producer/DJ Lil Silva's new single, "Don't You Love." He's worked with BANKS in the past by producing one of her tunes, now she graces his song with some vocal work.

This song mixes electronic, soul, and pop into one mellow vibe that you literally can't just listen to once. I've repeated plays a few times and I think you will too. This track will be on his upcoming project called Mabel EP, out August 5th.

Chance The Rapper & The Social Experiment – "Wonderful Everyday: Arthur"

Chance the Rapper & The Social Experiment

While Chicago native Chance the Rapper might be more hip hop oriented, he also has not been afraid to take his sound to different levels. One song he has been performing live is "Wonderful Everyday," the Arthur theme song. He mentioned there was a recording of this with his band The Social Experiment, yet the song is filled with guests. Included in this song are Peter Cottontale, Nate Fox, Donnie Trumpet & Stix for Social Experiment. Additional Keys by: Francis Farewell Starlite Additional Vocals from: Wyclef Jean, Francis & The Lights, Jesse Ware, Elle Varner, Eryn Allen Kane, The O'my's, Peter Cottontale & Donnie Trumpet. G-Eazy - "Say" ft. French Montana

Last night I saw G-Eazy mention on his social media accounts that he would be dropping a new tune for free download and as promised he delivered "Say" featuring French Montana. It's been crazy to see G working with some bigger named artists in the industry, but it's something we'll need to get used to as this will be more common as his popularity continues. I'm a little late on the latest from tune "Sunny Days" from Cali rapper, singer, producer Luke Christopher's, but nevertheless here it is. Every Tuesday he has been dropping some serious heat for the fans, plus each track has been free. That is some serious grind and dedication, but also a great way to get people talking.

Once again, he continues to expand his production skills and singing, which he has been adding a bit more in his music. It works well though so no hate from me. Stream and download the piano heavy jam below.

St. Tropez - "Let Go"

Stream St. Tropez's "Let go"

While indie music is still a favorite of mine, lately I haven't really been listening to a whole lot. I really need to change that because there are some great upcoming bands making noise. One that grabbed my attention is St. Tropez, who blend pop, indie, and psychedelic into a brilliant collection.

The most recent tune "Let Go" is mellow, yet gets a bit frantic as it progresses. One thing besides the vocals and lyrics that will grab my attention is the instrumentation, which "Let Go" has some pelnty of. Stream the song below.

While A Tribe Called Quest is one of those iconic hip hop groups, if done right, an updated remix can turn out really well. I don't think California singer Banks has made one mediocre song yet, as a few hours ago she releases another gem called "Beggin For Thread." As with most of her singles so far, her brilliant vocal work dominates with an electronic/pop instrumental.
