ASTR - "No Type" (Rae Sremmurd Cover)

Duo Rae Sremmurd is taking the hip hop scene to a different level with their high energy, especially on the smash tune, "No Type." Yet, another duo by the name of ASTR decided to do their own version of the track and flip the hip hop banger into an electro-pop smash. They mixed in an experimental tone on top of it, but the results are enticing. You can stream the cover below and snag a free download as well.

Big Sean - "Blessings" Featuring Drake & Kanye West

While I tend to avoid posting some of the bigger artists as every site will share it, I still had to when you have the names Big Sean. Drake, and Kanye West on a track. The song is called "Blessings" and will be on Big Sean's forthcoming record Dark Sky Paradise. An unfinished version of this song leaked earlier in the week, but now he have the official version of the release. Stream below.

Alxndr London - "Cold Sun"

A few weeks back an email came my way of artist Alxndr London and his song "Cold Sun." I was definitely digging what I heard, then completely forget that I wanted to post it. This tends to happen often with the amount of emails and submissions I get on the daily. plus the limited time I have to go through them. Anyway, the British singer crosses between R&B, Pop, and some alternative-soul on this single, but it is a great introduction for me. Stream the song below.

Shlohmo - "Buried"

Not only did producer Shlohmo announce his forthcoming sophomore album called Dark Red, but he also unleashed a new tune from it called "Buried." Now this is a bit different from some of his past stuff, but you can hear on this song that his experimental chops have begun. "Buried" blurs the lines of psychedelic, dark electronic, experimental, and prog. It's an interesting mix of sounds and might melt your face off. Stream below.

Kaytranada featuring Vic Mensa – "Drive Me Crazy"

Anytime I see the name Kaytranada I waste no time in getting a post up because I already know it is going to be good. On "Drive Me Crazy" he teamed up with Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, who he has previously worked with on another track. And just like that other song, this collaboration is on point. So hopefully these two continue to work together in the near future. Stream the track below.

Rihanna featuring Kanye West & Paul McCartney – "FourFiveSeconds" (Lido Remix)

This whole Paul McCartney working with Kanye and Rihanna is still a bit odd to me, but pretty interesting at the same time. The song called "FourFiveSeconds" just came out the other day, but Norwegian producer Lido wasted no time in adding his own touch to it on this remix. He titled it with "Lido's Sunday Service" because it has that upbeat and energetic church vibe, along with the organs, horns, and other sounds. Pretty cool remix.

Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne - "Real Love" (The Chainsmokers Remix)

It's still entertaining getting emails from The Chainsmokers who after their massive surge of popularity still have humor in their personal emails. They sent me their latest remix of Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne's "Real Love," which finds the production duo really trying some new sounds.

This one still takes on some great electronic sounds, but a bit more downtempo and not as dance heavy. It's still really good and I always enjoyed when these guys remix tunes, they have a great knack for it. This is also an official remix release via Atlantic, so it was a legit approval from Clean Bandit. Stream below.

Azad Right – "When You Know" (Produced by IAMNOBODI)

Both rapper Azad Right and producer IAMNOBODI have been featured on here a few times, but now the pair have teamed up on a track called "When You Know." The path that Azad has been on is leading to new opportunities and music that continues to progress, which you'll certainly notice on this track. Will 2015 be the year he takes over? Time will tell, but he is well on his way. Stream below and download for free here.

Preston Harris – "Love Crazy" (Produced by Hit-Boy)

Preston Harris is a new name in the R&B game we should all pay attention to in 2015, especially after you hear his "Love Crazy" track produced by Hit-Boy. This song will be featured on Harris' upcoming EP, which I know I'll be checking out. Yet, on this single we also can hear the production versatility of Hit-Boy who creates a mellow but interesting backdrop for the smooth vocal work. About halfway through the song tune, everything shifts into a slower and sensual R&B jam.

Video: G-Eazy - Tumblr Girls ft. Christoph Andersson

G-Eazy knows how to keep the fans interest as he released a new visual for the popular tune, "Tumblr Girls" featuring Christoph Andersson. This is actually one of my favorite tracks by him because of the enticing beat, the content, and the overall vibe I get from it.

The video was directed by Goodboy Shady and it stays true to the concept of the song. You'll see some girls and there is some nudity involved (tastefully done), so if you are at work it might be wise to wait to watch.

Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth is back with a new edition to his Secret Songs compilation, featuring contributing guests to the music. Frank Ocean Covered Aaliyah

There are not many artists out there who can cover and also do an Aaliyah tune justice, but Frank Ocean is certainly one of them. Over the weekend, Ocean released a tune to his Tumblr that he dubbed "You Are Luhh," which indeed is a cover of Aaliyah's "At Your Best (You Are Love)." The Song was originally recorded by the Isley Brothers, but Ocean made sure he did not disappoint. The focus is on the vocal work, with a quiet piano backdrop.

A new track from Joey Bada$$ called "Run Up On Ya" premiered on Statik Selektah's radio show the other day (he also produced the song) and you can now stream the radio rip via Soundcloud. The track features some vocal work from Elle Varner and some additional bars from Action Bronson. The combination turns out to be a solid combo with this more laid back tune. Joey's debut album is out next week, so this will most likely be the last new tune we get prior the album release.

Drake - "6 God" (THUGLI Remix)

Listen to THUGLI's remix of Drake

I came across this excellent remix from production duo known as THUGLI of Drake's tune and Boi-1da produced "6 God." If you need a song to get you hyped that it is Friday, then this is it. The energy is more frantic and Drake's flow is a bit fast along with an echo effect. Add in some sick bass, some heavy hip hop claps, and a nice guitar solo mid way -- you have yourself a damn good remix. Stream and download below.

Now he is starting off 2015 right with some new tunes already and now a new video for the track "Downtown Love," from that 2014 record. The whole concept of the video was inspired by an old Louis Vuitton commercial and was directed by Bobby Bruderle. The visual treatment is a perfect match to the tun, check it below.

Luke Christopher - "Draw Me A World"

Continuing his new music Tuesdays, LA artist Luke Christopher released a new mellow song called "Draw Me A World,: which finds him crooning on a piano heavy instrumental. He has always experimented a bit with singing, but he has continued to stretch his vocal chops and keeps improving. This can serve him well in his creativity as he searches and finds his musical direction. I dig the artistry that he has when it comes to music and I'm glad more people are catching on.

It's already making some serious rounds on BBC radio, but for those of us who don't follow that or remember to tune in, we have the Soundcloud upload.

It's just as haunting and captivating as the original, especially with the slowed down vocals, but the groovy electronic elements around the piano take it to the next level. Stream the song below.

William Bolton - "New York Sunshine"

When I first was sent material from artist William Bolton (formally Times New Roman), I knew there was something special about his cool blend of soul, pop, and hip hop. He had this sort of Jason Mraz sound, but less mainstream pop.

I decided to peep back on his Soundcloud and realized I missed some new music, including this chill track called "New York Sunshine." The track was produced by Danny Ives, with some nice horns, piano, and chill drums along with Bolton's on point crooning. Every time this young artist releases a new song, it's as catchy as the last and he certainly has a bright future. Looking forward to more in 2015. Stream below and download for free here.

His latest tune is called "Just A Picture" featuring some smooth vocal work from Kehlani. We find the pair on a synth-heavy, yet poppy beat that just fuses hip hop into it.

It's catchy right from the start and has a radio appeal. Might deter some of you hardcore hip hop heads, but listen with an open mind.

Well, if he keeps creating songs like his latest called, "Lot to Learn" you will certainly hear his name a lot more. He has the mainstream appeal and sound, while still retaining good hip hop vibes that won't deter you away.
